1) MTHFR Why is MTHFR Genotyping Important? Certain mutations in the gene coding for MTHFR produce an enzyme that has reduced ability to process B12 and folic acid. Inadequate amounts of B12 and folic acid can lead to elevated levels of homocysteine (a.k.a. hyperhomocysteinemia), which increases risk of illness. Adequate or optimal levels of B12 and folic acid aid with detoxification, hormone balancing, energy production, sleep, mood, and brain function. Our special MTHF injection done at our office is made to help those with the MTHFR gene mutation.
2) Pathway Genomics We also offer state of the art genetic testing. Genetic testing is a growing field and can provide a great deal of valuable insight into an individual’s genetic susceptibility to certain illnesses. Genetic typing can even provide information regarding the ideal diet for your genetics, and for cardiovascular health.
